Shaving Before Your Session
Shave the treatment area with a razor 24 hours before your session. Long hair causes the laser to work on the hair rather than the follicle, reducing effectiveness and increasing discomfort. Avoid waxing or epilating — these methods remove the root that the laser targets.
Sun Exposure and Creams
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks before your session. Treatment cannot be performed on tanned or sunburned skin. If you must go outdoors, use SPF 50+ sunscreen. On the day of your session, do not apply creams, lotions, oils or perfume to the treatment area — these can interfere with laser energy delivery.
Medication and Health Disclosure
If you are taking blood thinners, antibiotics, or any medication that increases light sensitivity, inform your specialist before the session. Certain medications raise the risk of complications by increasing skin sensitivity. Conditions such as pregnancy, skin disorders, or diabetes may also affect treatment eligibility.
